


Sairiyashiki used to be a trading company that belonged to the Saito family,
which was a very prosperous family in the Miyagi Prefecture. Nowadays, it is possible to see
many historical objects and learn about the region's history. To visit Sairiyashiki is
to make a trip to the past!
Zuihoden is the mausoleum where the founder and first lord of Sendai, Date Masamune is buried.
It has 4 main buildings, the Zuihoden itself, the Kansenden, the Zennoden and the Zuihoden
museum. This is a main place for sightseeing in Sendai and also a national treasure.
