There were some things about Japan that were totally different from my image before coming here.
Before coming to Japan I thought japanese people were much more closed and always wearing a serious face, and
that scared me a little. But I've got the chance to meet 3 incredible groups of people: my host family and the
Hippo family Club members, the AIESEC's Sendai local comittee members and the people from Etos. They received
me very kindly and with smily faces, making these 6 months a lot of fun. Being able to meet a lot of new friends
my image of japaneses now has changed to kind and fun people.
Other different place is a little unfortunate but I thought Japan would be much cleaner. Unfortunately, when walking
through the streets we can see somken cigarrets, folders and cans on the floor. And it isn't only in the city. When
I went rice planting you could see the same sort of trash around the rice fields. This is a little sad so let's work
for protecting the "Japan is a very clean place" image.
Besides that the images about Japan being a place with a lot of culture, that protects the traditions and about the
cherry blossoms being beautiful was as I thought.
